Every month, I’m writing and recording music. Usually my pattern is to then sit on the songs—for eventual vocals and maybe guests to join in. 'July 2018' is a collection of songs, in order of their creation, from that month. I’m releasing them now as a collection of music, because it’s a good practice for me not to hold on to things, and just get them out there, fresh, raw, new. I also feel like this collection stands together as an album of instrumentals. In the future, these songs may grow words, melodies, voices, other instruments and other names. But for now, this is how they are emerging. They are just a moment (or a month) in time.
