Born in 1972—I turned 30 in 2002 and recently entered my 40th year in 2012. I’ve never been one for keeping journals or diaries. So for the decade of my 30’s, this is it. Culled from 10 years of studio work, these songs touch on people and places, wisdom and folly, times and places, and many, many hopes and fears. I’m not the most poetic lyricist, but when I listen back, I realize that I got it all down—and that makes me happy. I hope there’s something here that speaks to you as well. These songs (in chronologically ascending order) are the sparks, the heavy moments, the ups, downs and lots of in-betweens. I share them here—with great gratitude for all the people and times that contributed to their creation. Thank you for listening.
